The PDC cutters consist of a Polycrystalline Diamond layer and carbide substrate. PDC cutters are also named Polycrystalline Diamond Compact cutters, which is a kind of super hard material. The use of polycrystalline diamond compact (PDC) cutters is widely spread nowadays due to their high performance and durability in harsh environments.
Material: PDC-polycrystalline diamond compact is composed of polycrystalline
Diamond layer and tungsten carbide substrate.
The polycrystalline diamond layer has extremely high hardness and wear resistance, while the wear resistance of tungsten carbide substrates will be greatly improved

Diamond thickness increased to 1.8mm -2.3mm
Improve impact strength and abrasion resistance
Heat resistance increased to 750 degrees Celsius compared to 700 for the previous ZM

Features:
The choice of diamond powder is higher.
Using a new type of tungsten carbide, the bond strength characteristics have been improved.
The interface claw is changed to a mesh groove, which consists of 20 vertical grooves, and the groove depth is shallow.
The internal structure of the sintering tank has been improved to make the pressure and temperature more uniform.
New super heat-resistant metal is used to avoid contamination during sintering.
The sintering process was modified to improve the bonding strength of diamond-diamond bonds between diamond layers.
Increase the diamond content, the thickness of the diamond layer increases to 2.0mm

How PDC Cutters are made
PDC Cutters are made from tungsten carbide substrate and synthetic diamond grit. It is made using a combination of high temperature and high pressure with catalyst of cobalt alloy to help bond diamond and carbide during the sintering process. During the cooling process, the tungsten carbide shrinks at a rate of 2.5 times faster than the diamond, which combines Diamond and Tungsten Carbide together and thereafter forms a PDC Cutter.
