Product Description

Product Description

Tungsten carbide gripper jaws are tools used to clamp and hang the casing string during the drilling process. They are used to clamp or place between the casing of the drill pipe. They are used to tighten and hang the casing string and oil string in the well to prevent them from falling into the well. Carbide gripper inserts used for gripping drill rods used in diamond drilling industry, such as: diamond drilling, coal mining, stone mining and oil mining.
Grip and penetrate the work piece to provide superior holding power. Used in jigs, fixtures, and chuck jaws, these grippers are versatile enough to fit any number of applications. Adjustable grippers are available in high-speed tool steel, with either tool steel or carbide serrations, in a number of thread styles and lengths. The fixed, non-adjustable grippers are available in round, square, and angular configurations with a host of different serrated tooth patterns. Materials include high-speed tool steel, solid carbide, and carbide tipped.

Process introduction
1. The raw material has high purity, less impurity content, and the physical properties of the board are more stable.
2. Using spray drying technology, the material is protected by high-purity nitrogen under fully sealed conditions, which effectively reduces the possibility of oxygenation during the preparation of the mixture, and the purity is better, and the material is not easy to be dirty.
3. Uniform density: 300Mpa isostatic press is used to effectively avoid the occurrence of pressing defects, and the density of the blank is more uniform.
4. The compactness of the gripper inserts is excellent, and the strength and hardness indicators are good: the Sinter-HIP low-pressure sintering technology is used to effectively reduce the pores inside the board and the quality is more stable.

Our carbide gripper pads was done by HIP sintering, it provide extra 30% on bending strength compare to normal quality, which means our tips will be strong enough when meet heavy impact. Also, it will have longer tool life (better wear resistance) for you to use our tips.
*Sinter-HIP is a method of thermal consolidation for cemented carbide wherein the simultaneous application of heat and pressure fully consolidates the carbide during the sintering process.

Carbide Gripper Teeth standard size :
35x6x4, 28x6x5.5, 22x10x6.3,
25x3x5, 35x6x4, 30x7x7,30x6x6,
28x8x7,15x6.8x7,22x10x6
There are usually have three shapes carbide gripped inserts . They used for chunk jaws, and widely used in chuck jaw factories.

  1. Bolyes type (With one end round)
  2. Christensen type (Round at two ends)
  3. Longyear type (Straight at two ends)
