Tungsten carbide cold heading die, also called cold forming die, is a specialized die used in the process of cold heading, where a metal blank is formed into a part without heating.
Cold heading dies include various types such as straight hole dies, triangular dies, extrusion dies, trimming dies, and socket dies. The method of cold pressing, shrink fitting, or taper fitting is chosen for the carbide inserts based on the specific application or customer requirements. Similarly, the carbide heading dies come in different variations such as plain hole, pointing, extrusion, trap extrusion, hexagonal, hex extrusion, flat extrusion, and trilobular to cater to the production of various types of fasteners, screws, and bolts.

 

Tungsten Carbide Cold Heading Dies Characteristics:

1. High wear resistance. Tungsten carbide cold heading dies material high wear resistance, tensile modulus can be guaranteed long-term work in any degree of deformation, ensuring standard size unchanged.

2. Excellent in polishing. Carbide has a good polishing, can be processed into the die hole mirror light, ensuring high quality standard surface.
